Muhammad Kutty (born Pannaparambil Muhammad Kutty on September 07, 1953) better known by his screen name Mammootty, is an award winning Indian film actor. He is the only actor other than Prem Nazir, who completed 300 films as hero in Malayalam film history. A lawyer by qualification, Mammootty has always wanted to be an actor and his first screen appearance was in Anubhavangal Paalichakal in 1971. But it was after eight years that he made his actual debut with Vilkanundu Swapnangal. Within five years Mammootty had acted in more than 150 films and donned various roles. He turned a mass hero with huge crowd-pulling charm after three years in the industry.
